On Saturday March 19th 2022, mid-day, there was a structure fire at 537 Steele Road in Shushan.  Fire companies from Shushan, Salem, Hebron, Rupert, Cambridge, Greenwich, Arlington, White Creek, Granville, Cossayuna and Buskirk participated with Salem & Cambridge Rescue Squads standing by.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
